question

Q. How do I place a request on a print item that is checked out?

answer

Answer

If the book you are interested in is currently checked out of the library, you can place a request to be the next in line to use it. You will be notified via email when the book has been returned to the library.

Make sure you are logged into your library account. From the EagleSearch results page, click the book title you are interested in. On the item details page, just above the due date information, you should see a section labeled "Find in Library". If the item is checked out, this section will contain a link to place a request. Both Worldwide and Daytona Beach patrons may place requests. Worldwide patrons should receive an email with shipping details within three days of item availability.

If you only need a chapter or a small portion of a book that is checked out, you may be able to request it from another library
