The Hunt Library has access to the database, Dissertations & Theses Global (ProQuest) in which most of the doctoral and master's final papers are available full-text online.

Dissertations & Theses Global (ProQuest) is an online database that is accessed through Ernie. Please search this database before making an Interlibrary Loan request. If the material is not available through the full-text Proquest database, then the Hunt Library Interlibrary Loan (ILL) department will make every attempt to borrow theses and dissertations from the sponsoring institutions, or from any other institutions we identify as owning them.

In many instances regarding dissertations, there is only one source from which to borrow - the school where the work was completed. As a rule, many libraries only keep one archival copy of the work (that does not circulate) and one copy that can circulate. If there is no second copy, or if that copy is checked out, the dissertation/thesis request cannot be filled through Interlibrary Loan.
