Answer
When you are on the Research Databases page, you have the ability to filter by Subjects. When you select a subject, the first result(s) will show up in a gold box that says Best Bets. These are the databases that librarians have selected as the most helpful databases for the selected subject. These are a great starting point if you are looking for a subject specific database. Please note, this does not mean that the other databases are bad or that you can't use them.
You may want to use a subject specific database if your searches in EagleSearch have too many results, especially if several results are on subjects that aren't relevant to your research. Using a subject specific database will help narrow down your results.
Best Bets will only show up when you filter by Subject. You will not see best bet databases if you search by Types or Vendors.
