Answer
The Hunt Library encourages Worldwide patrons to submit a Suggest a Purchase request form in lieu of making an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) book request. The Collection Management Team will make every attempt at purchasing an eBook or a physical book on behalf of a Worldwide patron. Due to the logistics of mail services, the 30 day loan period is simply not enough time to circulate ILL books to the Worldwide community.
Please note, as a general policy, the Hunt Library does not purchase textbooks. Textbooks become quickly outdated and acquisition would be in conflict with the library’s intention to develop a collection of lasting value.
Worldwide patrons may request all of the following through the ILL service: magazine and journal articles, book chapters, tables of contents, and other short items that meet copyright and space restrictions.
